Preparing for your Stay
We are pleased that you have chosen the IPaC. You have made an excellent choice, because our specialists will do everything in their power to bring you back to good health.
This is how you can prepare for your stay:
- Decide with your doctor if an operation abroad is a possibility for you. If you are unsure, our Medical Case Manager will gladly further assist you.
- We will decide, along with your doctor, which medical files are necessary,so you need not be concerned that important information will not be transferred to us.
- All necessary examinationan and treatment appointments will be coordinated directly with your doctor and with you.
- You can simply organize your trip as you would a holiday, and then inform us of your arrival time at the airport. We will pick you up directly from there and we will take care of any remaining formalities.
- In some circumstances you may need a visa for your trip. Please plan in an extra 4-8 weeks for organizational purposes. Our Service Manager will gladly help you with the preparations.
- Should unexpected post-operative complications arise, our physicians along with your treating doctor at home, will determine where further treatment should best take place. You can be rest asssured that we will do the utmost possible.
- If you would like to bring along your partner, it is possibile for them to stay overnight at the IPac or at the nearby Hotel Gunnewig. Your Service Manager will glady help you with the details.
You now have two possibilities: either you can contact us directly, or you can talk to your treating physician who can then contact us. We would then arrange an appointment in the IPaC for you as quickly as possible. After this point you know how much lead-in time you must plan for.
