Neurosurgery
The neurosurgical physician and nursing team treat tumors of the brain; the pituitary gland and spinal cord in children and adults; vascular anomalies of the brain and spinal cord, as well as degenerative and accident related diseases of the spine.
Of particular importance to us is the interdisciplinary cooperation with the radiology, radiotherapy, and oncology departments in the area of neuro-oncology; betweeen the departments of neurology and neuroradiology in the area of cerebrovascular disease; and the ear-nose-throat department in the area of skullbase surgery.
We have at our disposal two highly modern operating theatres with 3D radioscopy, navigation and high definition microscopes including interoperative florescent diagnostics. We give special attention to minimally invasive treatment procedures and make use of all currently available technical possibilities.
